Innovative Health Services for Homeless Youth (IHSHY) Program

IHSHY is a joint State-Commonwealth program aimed at improving the health outcomes of homeless and otherwise at-risk youth and their dependents through the provision of specialised health and related services and improved access to mainstream health services.

Services include:

  • Adolescent Mothers’ Support Service : King Edward Memorial Hospital
  • Youth Friendly Doctor - Dr YES : Australian Medical Association (WA)
  • Street Doctor - Mobile Service : Perth Primary Care Network
  • Freo Street Doctor - Mobile Service : Fremantle GP Network
  • Hills Community Support Group Inc.
  • Happy Kids : Mirrabooka, Dryandra, Nollamara and Westminster Primary Schools
  • Support for young women in prison and recently released : Ruah Young Women’s Program
  • Support in Education & Training : Community and Youth Training Services (Inc) (CYTS)

IHSHY FORUM

To share information about the IHSHY programs and highlight issues related to youth homelessness IHSHY will be holding a Youth Forum.

What? To share and learn from fellow researchers,
practitioners and young people themselves

Cost? $25.00/person

The forum will feature:

  • Break out sessions
