In 2011, CYTS is funded by the Department of Training and Workforce Development to offer subsidised, nationally recognised and accredited training and assessment to individuals undertaking approved traineeships. CYTS can also provide this service to traineeships that are not publicly funded for a fee for service arrangement.

Fee Exemptions
Genuine Job Seekers, who can provide appropriate verification of their
job seeking status, may be eligible to have all enrolment fees waived.
In order to claim Fee Free tuition, the following evidence must be supplied:
• A health care card issued by Centrelink with the code “NS”
that identifies the person as being in receipt of the New Start Allowance;
or
• a health care card issued by Centrelink with the code “YA”
that identifies that the person is in receipt of the Youth Allowance;
or
• A Job Seeker Identification Number (JS Id) issued by Centrelink
or a Job Services Australia Provider (JSA)
(Note: You can obtain a Job Seeker Identification Number (JS Id) from
Centrelink if you are looking for work, even if you are not receiving
an income support payment from Centrelink).
